Our programme helps support you through several phases of the BSD – aimed at improving your health and blood sugars, reducing weight and teaching new habits for life.

1 - Get Prepared

Tips and advice to prepare yourself to do the BSD, setting you up to succeed over the following weeks. Meet the team and the other participants!

2 - Reset Your Health

Begin a 800cal, 10 week, Mediterranean Style Low Carb Diet, aiming for a 5-20% weight loss, depending on your original weight. This requires planning and focus, but the benefits are a rapid response in terms of fat loss around your stomach and improvement in blood sugars.

We make this as easy as possible for you, offering advice, recipes, meal planners and help from medical professionals to help you take back control of your health.

3 - Develop Healthy Habits

Learn the tools, recipes and ways of eating to set you up for ongoing lifestyle change, helping you sustain the habits that will keep off the fat and maintain your blood sugars.

4 - Graduate

Our programme is not simply a diet, it’s a way of life – on graduation we provide the information needed to build on your success and create lasting habits. This includes a Blood Sugar Diet Graduation pack, including recipes, exercises and tips to maintain the way of life.

Your Community with Doctor Support

All participants are invited to join a private forum. These forums are monitored by a team of health professionals, including doctors, who are experienced in answering your questions and helping members achieve their goals. The forum is also a safe and secure environment where you can share your stories, challenges and successes with other people going through the program at the same time.

Regular Contact from the Team

Each week you will receive advice and tips from our experts guiding you through the diet.  This will include practical advice on preparation for the diet, shopping, meal plans, recipes and how to achieve success in 12 weeks.  Also included will be hints and tips on how to overcome the challenges.

Information for your doctor

Our team have supported many patients safely through the diet and have seen great results. That is why we are keen to help many more.  Not all doctors are aware of the research on which this program is based or experienced in implementing it. Our doctors are very happy to communicate directly with your usual GP via email to discuss any questions they may have. Additionally, your usual doctor is welcome to access the “Health Professionals” tab in order to learn more about the research as well as practical advice on how to support patients through the diet.  This link allows your GP to contact us.

Arranging medical tests

There are a variety of tests that can be used to effectively measure your progress through the course, ranging from simple blood tests – measuring your HbA1c – to more sophisticated tests, such as DEXA scanning and ultrasound, to understand the impact on your dangerous visceral fat and blood sugars.
